Will eating more fat knock me out of ketosis? The answer is no.
Dietary fat and ketosis will help:
• Boost your energy levels
• Fight off hunger and cravings
• Improve your mood
• Enhance your cognition and memory
Keto is a high-fat diet that consists of about 70% of your calories in fat. You need healthy fats to stay in ketosis.
However, there are some reasons why you may not want to consume too much fat.
One reason is that it may slow down or stall your weight loss.
If you consume more calories in fat than you can burn, then your body won’t start converting your own body fat into ketones. Instead, it will only convert your dietary fat into ketones.
If you’re worried about not losing weight, I recommend that you cut out things like MCT oil, coconut oil, and extra fats like butter.
You can also increase your exercise and fast for longer to burn some of your dietary fat and help you lose weight.
